Nicole & Thomas

Nicole and Thomas got married at Twenty Mile House in Graeagle on October 17th, 2020. They were planning from the Bay Area, so we got to know each other by email and over a phone call at the end of August.

Nicole sent me their Spotify playlists for every part of the day: Wedding Prelude, Cocktail Hour, Dinner and Reception. She told me to get creative with the reception list, since they had just added songs they really enjoy.

The ceremony was out in the pines. Once the bridesmaids were down the aisle, Nicole walked to Perfect by 2CELLOS. She wanted to reach the end of the aisle at the 1:05 mark, so I suggested starting the song at 25 seconds, and she planned to try it at the rehearsal dinner the night before.

They walked back up the aisle as husband and wife to What A Man Gotta Do by Jonas Brothers.

They made their entrance to dinner to Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Swede, and cut the cake to How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) by James Taylor.

Their first dance was Blessed by Thomas Rhett. Nicole danced with her dad to My Wish by Rascal Flatts, and Thomas danced with his mom to In My Life by The Beatles.

Then the dancing started in the courtyard, under the string lights and the chandelier, with Cupid Shuffle by Cupid and later Shout by The Isley Brothers.

Later in the night, during Body Like A Back Road by Sam Hunt, her friends lifted Nicole up in a chair high above the dance floor.

We kept the party going until the last song of the night, The Hampsterdance Song by Hampton the Hamster, at 11:34 PM.

Thank you, Nicole and Thomas, for trusting me with your day at Twenty Mile House.
