Their Story

Amanda and James were married on a summer afternoon at Twenty Mile House in Graeagle, California. Penie, the venue's coordinator, introduced us by email in June, and we talked through the plan on a call a few weeks before the big day.

The ceremony was held in the pines. While guests found their seats I played soft piano and strings, starting with River Flows In You by Yiruma. The wedding party walked in to Beyond the Pines by Thrice, and Amanda and James walked back up the aisle as newlyweds to Flash Light by Parliament.

That evening the special dances began with This Guy's In Love With You by Herb Alpert, followed by Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder, an Irish reel medley and What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.

Then Stay A Little Longer by Brothers Osborne opened the dance floor in front of the old brick house, and it stayed full as the string lights came on, with Celebration by Kool & The Gang, September by Earth, Wind & Fire, Y.M.C.A. by Village People, Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison, Love Shack by The B-52's and Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi.

We danced until nearly midnight, and I closed the night with You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC. Thank you, Amanda and James, for having me as your DJ.
