The Story
When 4 Wheel Parts opened their Reno store next to Meadowood Mall, Aaron and John found me with a Google search for a Reno DJ service and booked me for the whole grand opening day, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a big white tent in the parking lot.

It had snowed overnight. I pulled in at 8:00 AM to a wet, empty lot with the mountains white behind the mall, and by 9:00 the tent had tables, cornhole boards, balloons and my dance lights going while the first Jeeps lined up outside.

Seven hours is a long set for a store opening, so I kept it moving through everything a 4x4 crowd would know: Lucky Star by Madonna to open, then Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees, Sultans Of Swing by Dire Straits, Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas, Barracuda by Heart, My Sharona by The Knack and The Humpty Dance by Digital Underground.

The afternoon went classic rock and funk, Hotel California by the Eagles, Shining Star by Earth, Wind & Fire, Give Up The Funk by Parliament, Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor, The Final Countdown by Europe, and an 80s run of Walking On Sunshine by Katrina & The Waves, Blue Monday by New Order and Burning Down The House by Talking Heads before the last hour turned to hip hop for the crew tearing down.
